The "DA" stamp means that the tire is what they call a "blem" or blemished tire. This means the tire is still considered to be structurally safe, but does not meet the physical appearance quality standards the company has set.

If the tire is unsafe it is ofcource destroyed by the manufacturer and not sold as "DA".
